Artist's Statement

I enjoy painting intuitively, allowing all the colours and layers to form their own story taking me on a creative adventure. It takes considerable effort and some bravery to trust the process and abandon preconceived ideas. I relish every minute I get to have fun and play in my art studio, and I look forward to sharing my art with you.

Coromandel Flowers is a boutique business on the main road in Coromandel I started in 2020.  You will see a cute little stall next to St Andrews Church where you can buy fresh flowers, greeting cards and gifts.  With the constant flow of fresh flowers, I am never stuck for inspiration.  I'm not sure who said "If you find what you love doing, you never work a day in your life".  This is true for me as I love flowers and art, the two compliment each other beautifully and my work is joyful and rewarding.

I enjoy learning and connecting with other artists by participating in various workshops and art retreats throughout the year.  Learning new techniques is fun.  I also teach art locally at Te Mana Tangata Creative Learning Space.

In a world where it often feels like everything is mass-produced, I feel blessed and grateful to be able to share my creative gifts and offer you authentic pieces of me through my art.
