Artist Bio

​

I have been involved in fabric art for many years and started painting about 10 years ago. I felt the need to try a different medium and as there are a few artists in my family painting was the natural course to take.

​

I paint many different subjects from flowers to industrial.  I love to paint using heightened colour and I find acrylic paints give me the clarity I want.  Many of my paintings are from subjects I found while living in New Plymouth but since moving to Coromandel, new and interesting ideas have presented themselves.

I live in Te Kouma and enjoy watching the mussels barges and other recreational fishing craft go pass my window.  I have a lovely open art space at my disposal which since retiring has had plenty of use.
