The more I immerse myself in this town, the stronger my impetus to draw and paint becomes. The intriguing faces and places of this place seem to have found a grip on me. I suppose making art is my way of exploring, questioning and honouring this town. My painting is mostly done in oils on canvas and board. I also create sketch and ink drawings on a wide range of subject matter.

I have been a graphic designer and commercial illustrator since the early 90s so ‘design thinking' influences my choice of subject matter and also the compositions I construct.
