Arts Tour

First 2 weekends of October
3—4 & 10—11 October 2026

Two weekends. Dozens of studios. One extraordinary peninsula.

Every year, across the first two weekends of October, the Coromandel Arts Tour opens the doors of working artists’ studios in one of New Zealand’s most creatively rich regions.

Walk into the spaces where the work is actually made. Meet the painters, potters, jewellers, printmakers, sculptors, and textile artists who call the Coromandel home, and discover the stories, tools, and processes behind each piece. Watch a work in progress. Ask the questions you’d never get to ask anywhere else.

You are invited to wander at your own pace — map in hand — through studios tucked into hillsides, coastal gardens, and in the heart  of Coromandel Town. Take your time browsing original work available to purchase directly from the artists who made it.

Between studios, soak up everything Coromandel Town has to offer: its heritage buildings, its harbour, its cafés and characters. The tour is as much about experiencing the place as it is the art.

A quick word from our fans...

"Wanting to say a huge thank you to all who organized this fantastic tour and all the artists involved. We had a fantastic day showing Aussie Whanau about the Rohe. We saw and bought gorgeous art and loved the energy of it all. Will be back again next year."
