The Tour
Every October, we are proud to bring together some of the incredible creative talent that makes Coromandel such a special place through the Coromandel Open Studios Arts Tour. Held over the first two weekends of October, this much-loved annual event invites visitors to step inside artists' studios, meet the makers behind the work, and experience the creative process firsthand. Best of all, it's completely free to attend.
This year, 41 local artists are opening their doors across Coromandel town and the surrounding area, showcasing a diverse range of work including painting, ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery, sculpture, woodwork, screen-printing and more. We're also excited to welcome eight new artists to the Tour, bringing fresh ideas and new work for visitors to discover. Whether you're an avid art collector or simply curious about the local arts scene, the Tour offers a unique opportunity to connect with artists in the spaces where they create.

Hauraki House Gallery
The Tour is supported by our nine-day exhibition at Hauraki House Gallery on Kapanga Road, running from 4–12 October and open daily from 10am to 4pm. The exhibition features work from every participating artist and is a great place to start your Open Studios journey. Visitors can browse the artwork, pick up a guide, and plan which studios they'd like to visit. We also invite everyone to join us for our Opening Night on Friday 3 October from 5.30pm, where you can meet the artists, enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, and celebrate the start of another fantastic Coromandel Open Studios Arts Tour.
Whether you have a whole weekend to explore or just an hour to spare, we look forward to welcoming you to discover the creativity, talent and stories that make our local arts community so vibrant.
